Ahmed Hamed Moutwakil, son of Mr. Hamed Ismail and Mrs. Elham Babiker, is a Senior at George Washington High School.

Ahmed is an honor roll student, with a spirit for civic responsibility. Ahmed demonstrates his commitment to volunteerism through his work with Arapahoe Libraries, Women for Change, and international volunteer work in Sudan. He was recognized with the Jobs by George Community Service Award, is a state qualifier in economics for Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and is the recipient of the Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish and Arabic.

Ahmed is a member of the Denver Club of Humanities, Future Business Leaders of America, National Society of High School Scholars, Sudanese American Public Affairs Association, Women for Change, International Baccalaureate Black Organization,

Ahmed plans to attend Johns Hopkins University or the University of Pennsylvania, pursuing a pre medicine degree. Ahmed says, "I hope that people will see me as a medical professional and a role model since my passion has always been helping others. I want to inspire others and make a difference in their lives to be the best they can be and give back to the community."
